Low-Power Z-Wave Smart Home System

Low-power Z-Wave sensor PCB, front and back with coin-cell battery holder

Droid Technologies designed and developed a complete Z-Wave smart home system consisting of multiple low-power wireless sensors and a central gateway for local automation and cloud connectivity.

The system includes door/window sensors, motion sensors, temperature sensors, and other battery-powered smart home nodes. The sensors use a Silicon Labs MCU and were optimized for ultra-low-power operation, enabling long battery life and reliable Z-Wave communication.

A dedicated Z-Wave gateway collects data from the distributed sensors and bridges the local Z-Wave network to Wi-Fi and Ethernet, enabling remote monitoring, automation, and integration with cloud or smart home platforms.

Droid Technologies delivered hardware design, PCB development, embedded firmware, Z-Wave integration, low-power optimization, sensor integration, gateway development, wireless communication, and complete system testing.
