Dual-Channel ExpressLRS (ELRS) RF System — 2 × 1 W

Dual-channel ExpressLRS long-range RF boards with SMA antenna connectors

Droid Technologies designed and developed a custom dual-channel ExpressLRS (ELRS) long-range RF system with two independent 2 W radio channels for reliable long-distance wireless communication.

Our engineering scope included complete hardware design and firmware development, RF circuit design, component selection, PCB development, antenna coordination, antenna matching, and system-level RF optimization.

The device was engineered to provide high output power, stable wireless performance, and reliable communication in demanding long-range applications. Special attention was given to RF layout, signal integrity, power delivery, thermal performance, and antenna compatibility to achieve consistent performance across both 1 W channels.

Droid Technologies also worked on antenna selection and tuning to ensure proper impedance matching, RF efficiency, and communication range for the target operating conditions.

Key features:

• 2 independent RF channels
• Up to 1 W RF output power per channel
• ExpressLRS (ELRS) protocol support
• Long-range wireless communication
• Custom RF hardware and PCB design
• Embedded firmware development
• Antenna selection and matching
• RF tuning and system optimization
• Power management and thermal design
• Hardware and firmware integration and testing
