Droid Technologies designed and developed an industrial IoT gateway for high-power charging infrastructure, responsible for power management, network communication, and connectivity between charging equipment, external devices, and cloud services.
The system is based on an NXP i.MX8 MPU with DDR4 memory, providing high-performance embedded computing for industrial applications. It supports Ethernet, Wi-Fi, LTE, and NB-IoT connectivity for local networking, remote monitoring, telemetry, and cloud communication.
The gateway includes four Ethernet ports with Power over Ethernet (PoE), allowing it to provide both network connectivity and power to external devices. It also manages power distribution and communication across the charging system.
Droid Technologies delivered hardware design, PCB development, embedded Linux and firmware development, power management, PoE integration, cellular connectivity, networking, and complete system integration.
